Hello! I’m Ella.
I am a visual communication designer driven by the belief that design can and should create positive social change. Currently, as a Lead Designer, I’ve expanded my focus from individual execution to strategic oversight. This role has taught me that the most impactful designs come from a place of radical empathy, not just for the end-user, but for the team creating the solution.
I pride myself on being conscientious and approachable, having learned through my role as a Lead Designer that the most effective solutions to real-world problems are born from a culture of clear communication and genuine support.

Krystle - Senior Service Designer on same team
I worked with her for about two and half years at New Zealand Food Safety (a branch of MPI). We worked closely on guidance materials and other tools for our customers. She assisted in the user research and ideation phases of these projects. Ella is willing to try something new and work outside of her comfort zone (e.g. 'guirrella' user testing). She also anticipates what needs to be done and collaborates really well. Her visual designs are well done and she is happy to receive and implement feedback. She is thoughtful and has a great empathy for people.
