Food Safty Kit - Te Kete Haumaru Kai

In partnership with Northland Inc. and six Far North marae, I co-designed Te Kete Haumaru Kai—a bilingual toolkit empowering marae to navigate commercial food safety.

After facilitating service design workshops to map user needs, I collaborated with a creative team to develop a suite of high-impact visual resources, including posters, stickers, and booklets.

To honor the tradition of oral storytelling, I directed a series of educational videos featuring a Māori chef, blending practical safety tips with authentic recipes to ensure the content was both relatable and culturally resonant.

The video below shows the contents of the kete.

Food safety videos

The video below focuses on temperature control and guides the viewer through cooking, cooling, and storing food safely. Each video uses colour and icons to link to specific topics in the other resources.
