Guidance on exporting pet food

I led the visual design and development of two guidance documents and an animated video to support pet food exporters. The project involved turning very complex regulatory information into something easy to understand and engaging. The team achieved this through plain English writing, clear visual icons, and the combination of visuals and voice in the video.

This work began with the rise of pet food exporters in New Zealand, many telling us that the process was complicated and difficult to understand. We worked with exporters throughout the process to ensure the resources would be useful for new businesses. We also consulted with technical specialists and pet food industry leaders to make sure the resources were technically accurate.
